FPH UI Lecturer, Kartika Anggun Dimar Setio, Selected as Young Professional 2024 Cohort Program from The Sexual Violence Research Initiatives (SVRI)

Kartika Anggun Dimar Setio, M.K.M., a lecturer at the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI), has been selected as a Young Professional for the 2024 Cohort Program by The Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI). SVRI is the largest global network aimed at advancing research on violence against women, violence against children, and other forms of gender-based violence.

The selection took place at the SVRI Forum 2024 in Cape Town, South Africa, from October 21 to 25, 2024. The decision was made based on Tika’s dedication and future potential in addressing gender-based violence issues. SVRI recognized Tika’s research on child marriage, which successfully revealed the cyclical violence experienced by survivors of child marriage.

Through this recognition, Tika hopes to continue advocating for the mainstreaming of gender-based violence issues in public health systems and to contribute to the creation of a future generation of public health professionals in Indonesia who understand the context of gender-based violence in healthcare services.
