FPH UI Presents Awards to Partners, Lecturers, Students, and Education Staff at the 60th Anniversary Celebration

Depok, July 1, 2025 — The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (FPH UI) marked its 60th Anniversary with a heartfelt and reflective celebration at the UI Convention Center. Carrying the theme “FPH UI with Noble Character and Excellent Performance,” the event was more than a commemoration—it served as a platform to appreciate and honor the dedication, hard work, and collaboration that have shaped FPH UI into a leading public health institution in Indonesia over the past six decades.

FPH UI’s achievements in producing high-quality graduates, conducting impactful research, and engaging in meaningful community service would not be possible without strong support from various stakeholders. The anniversary celebration was thus also a moment of appreciation for inspirational figures, strategic partners, and the academic community who have contributed significantly to realizing FPH UI’s vision and mission. The awarding ceremony stood as a symbol of gratitude and a motivation to continue moving forward together.

One of the most prestigious recognitions was awarded to Prof. Dr. Endang L. Achadi, MPH, DrPH, who received the Inspirational Figure in Stunting Prevention award. The award was presented directly by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, MS, DSc, in recognition of Prof. Endang’s long-standing contribution to maternal and child health and her active role in national efforts to reduce stunting. Through her expertise and dedication, she has become a role model for public health academics and practitioners across the country. Prof. Endang currently leads the Stunting Resource Center (SRC) FPH UI, an institution that provides training, regional mentoring, and research. As of now, SRC has trained 2,025 healthcare professionals and supported 246 districts/cities in Indonesia.

In the same event, Prof. Dr. Besral, SKM, MSc was awarded for having the Highest Number of Publications in Reputable International Journals in 2024, reinforcing FPH UI’s presence in the global academic arena and inspiring a strong culture of research and scholarly publishing.

FPH UI also recognized ten strategic partners who have been integral to its journey. These partners have not only collaborated on programs in education, research, and community engagement but have also served as allies in driving change. The awards were presented by Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, SKM, MSi, to:

To recognize dedication in the learning process, FPH UI also awarded faculty members with the Highest Lecturer Evaluation Scores (EDOM). The awards were presented by Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, MSc, in appreciation of the faculty’s commitment to fostering a high-quality learning environment.

At the department level, the Occupational Health and Safety Department was awarded for securing the most research grants, while the Epidemiology Department received recognition for Best Performance Achievement. The Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety Program (S1 K3) was honored as the study program with the Best Performance Achievement.

Additionally, Fatiha Farah Santi Dewi, a 2022 undergraduate student in Public Health, was named FPH UI’s Outstanding Student of 2025. Recognition was also given to education staff through the Dedicated Staff Awards (Tendik Berdedikasi FPH UI 2025). The recipients were:

  • Nur Evny (AKK Department Secretariat) – 1st Place

  • Sigit Prasetio (HR Subunit) – 2nd Place

  • Rihana Irwan (PFL Subunit) – 3rd Place

  • Nur Rahmi Febriyanti Putri (Faculty Secretariat) – Most Favorite

These awards serve as a reminder that FPH UI’s six-decade journey is not the result of a single effort but the product of a deep synergy among all academic and professional components, as well as external partners. In the face of increasingly complex public health challenges, this collaboration remains the cornerstone of FPH UI’s efforts to provide science-based, value-driven solutions. With renewed spirit, the 60th Anniversary marks the beginning of a more meaningful journey. Together with its academic community and partners, FPH UI is ready to move forward toward a healthier and more equitable future for all Indonesians.
