In the spirit of building an excellent and impactful university, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again demonstrated its presence on the global stage through strengthened international collaboration. This time, FPH UI received a CSR grant worth 10 million KRW from South Korean company Dobu Mask as a form of support for its Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) education program.
The grant handover took place during the Global Occupational Health and Safety Program (GOHSP) 2025, which was officially opened on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Doctoral Promotion Room, Building G, FPH UI. This international program, themed “Advancing Occupational Health and Safety through Global Academic Collaboration”, is the result of collaboration between FPH UI and Inje University, South Korea, and forms part of the student mobility program. This year’s GOHSP is attended by 22 students from Inje University and will run for ten days, from July 21 to 31, 2025.
This activity reflects a strong commitment to long-term academic cooperation, as outlined in the Agreement of Implementation (AOI) between FPH UI and Inje University, signed in December 2022. Prof. Kim Taegu, Ph.D., Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department at Inje University, directly handed over the CSR grant from Dobu Mask—amounting to USD 6,200—to FPH UI.
“Dobu Mask hopes to see the OHS sector in Indonesia thrive. To support this, they believe their best partners deserve proper training support. That’s why we are donating this fund to help advance OHS development and student education,” said Prof. Kim Taegu.
The grant is part of Dobu Mask’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, aimed at supporting the inbound program of Inje University students to FPH UI. This ongoing collaboration serves as concrete evidence that international partnerships not only strengthen academic networks but also have a direct impact on institutional and student development.
Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., expressed his gratitude for the trust and support given. “FPH UI greatly values every contribution, no matter the size, including this CSR grant as a real form of international support for our occupational health and safety education programs. We are committed to utilizing all funds responsibly to strengthen relevant, excellent, and impactful academic programs,” stated Prof. Mondastri.
FPH UI’s commitment to expanding its OHS programs and improving the quality of learning and training in alignment with global industry needs is in line with Universitas Indonesia’s vision to become an academically excellent institution that creates broad national and international impact.
