On December 10, 2024, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) received the Internal Award for the Integrity Zone of Clean and Serving Bureaucracy from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. This award was presented as a form of appreciation for FPH UI’s commitment to creating a clean, transparent, and service-oriented bureaucracy, which is part of the Ministry’s efforts to improve public service quality in higher education institutions.
The award ceremony, held at the Le Meridien Hotel in Jakarta, saw FPH UI receiving the award alongside 36 other units under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia that successfully passed the assessment by the Internal Assessment Team (TPI). During the event, the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., proudly accepted the award on behalf of the faculty.
The Integrity Zone Award is part of a program by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology aimed at encouraging the application of good governance principles in each higher education institution. Through this award, it is expected that a more efficient, transparent, and accountable bureaucracy will be created to provide the best services to students, faculty, and the wider community.
Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., expressed his sincere gratitude for the award received. “This award is the result of the hard work of all the academic community and the extended family of FPH UI, including students, lecturers, and educational staff, who have committed to maintaining integrity and providing the best services within the faculty,” said Prof. Mondastri.
In the development of the Integrity Zone, FPH UI has implemented various strategic steps to improve the quality of its bureaucracy, such as simplifying administrative procedures, speeding up service processes, and ensuring that there are no practices of corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN). Furthermore, FPH UI has also implemented a transparent complaint system that is accessible to the public, to ensure accountability in all aspects of service delivery.
The implementation of the integrity zone involves various aspects, including integrated information systems, excellent service training for educational staff, and supervision of administrative tasks in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system standards and ISO 37001:2016 anti-bribery management system standards. FPH UI continues to improve its staff’s competencies through high-quality development and training programs.
This award serves as a testament to FPH UI’s commitment to achieving good governance and having a positive impact on its entire academic community. It is expected to motivate the continuous improvement of the bureaucratic system and service delivery. Additionally, this award also demonstrates FPH UI’s seriousness in creating a clean, transparent, and excellent service-oriented academic environment. This initiative is part of the ongoing effort to support the achievement of the vision and mission of the University of Indonesia as a leading university that makes a significant contribution to the advancement of education and public welfare.
