On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) received another visit from high school students. FPH UI provides opportunities and shares information about its undergraduate study programs with prospective students from high school students. This time, FPH UI received visits from 85 students from SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta. Located in Hall A FPH UI, this visit was attended by the Academic Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M, Head of the Nutrition Department, Dr. Ir. Trini Sudiarti, M.Kes., as well as representatives of BEM FPH UI.
The FPH UI Academic Manager gave a presentation about the general profile of FPH UI. Through his presentation, Dr. Laila not only briefly explained the general profile of FPH and the undergraduate study program profile, but also explained the new student selection pathway, the capacity of each study program and the costs of education at FPH UI. “The cost of education at FPH UI actually hasn’t changed much from the previous scheme, we still have UKT (Single Tuition Fee) per class which allows students to adjust to their economic abilities,” explained Dr. Laila.
Apart from that, Dr. Trini explained in more detail about the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program. The Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program at FPH UI is one of the study programs that has quite high levels of rigor when selecting new students. This study program attracts the interest of many prospective students because of its broad job prospects. “Graduates of the Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program can not only have a career as nutritionists in health institutions such as hospitals, but can also have careers in industry, government, consultants, and even as entrepreneurs,” said Dr. Trini.
Various explanations from Dr. Laila and Dr. It is hoped that Trini will be able to provide new insights to the students of SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta regarding the majors at FPH UI. It is hoped that this provision will strengthen the choice of prospective students to join FPH UI. (WRK)
