Depok, September 25, 2025 – The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again became a destination for high school visits seeking to gain deeper insight into higher education in the field of public health. This time, FPH UI welcomed 50 students from Gonzaga College High School in a warm reception held at the Doctoral Promotion Room of FPH UI.
The visit was received by Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M., Academic Manager of FPH UI, and Dr. Al Asyary, S.K.M., M.P.H., Secretary of the Undergraduate Environmental Health Program. In her presentation, Dr. Laila provided an overview of FPH UI, including its academic profile, learning environment, admission pathways, tuition, and student development opportunities. “FPH UI strives to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also adaptive to global changes and ready to make meaningful contributions to society. There are many non-academic activities available for students to enhance their soft skills,” said Dr. Laila.
Meanwhile, Dr. Al Asyary gave a more detailed explanation of the Environmental Health undergraduate program, covering its curriculum, practical learning activities, and the relevance of environmental health to global health issues. “Environmental health is key to preventing various public health problems. Through this program, students are prepared to address environmental challenges while contributing to sustainable development,” he explained.
The event was lively and interactive, with Gonzaga College students showing great enthusiasm. Many participants asked about student mobility programs, international class opportunities, and scholarships, reflecting their keen interest in global learning experiences and access to higher education at FPH UI.
This visit not only broadened the students’ understanding of higher education in public health but also reinforced FPH UI’s commitment to introducing its academic excellence and international network to the younger generation. (wrk)
