FPH UI Welcomes Educational Visit from SMAI Rabbaanii Islamic School Bekasi

The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) welcomed a visit from SMAI Rabbaanii Islamic School Bekasi on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The activity took place in the Doctoral Promotion Room of FPH UI and was attended by 25 students and 4 accompanying teachers from SMAI Rabbaanii.

This visit was part of the school’s program to introduce students to the world of higher education and explore potential career paths. The group was received by the Academic Manager of FPH UI, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.

In her welcoming remarks, Dr. Laila expressed appreciation for the visit and emphasized the importance of early exposure to higher education. “We are delighted to host SMAI Rabbaanii. Activities like this are important to broaden students’ understanding of future study options, especially in the field of public health which plays a strategic role in improving community quality of life,” said Dr. Laila.

She further introduced FPH UI as a leading and the oldest institution in the field of public health in Indonesia. Dr. Laila explained that the undergraduate program at FPH UI consists of four study programs: Public Health, Nutrition, Environmental Health, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). These programs are designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills needed for promotive and preventive efforts in public health.

The session was interactive and filled with enthusiasm, with students actively asking questions about university life, public health majors, and scholarship opportunities at UI.

It is hoped that this visit will provide SMAI Rabbaanii students with new insights into the importance of public health education and inspire them to pursue higher education at FPH UI.
