FPH UI Welcomes New Leadership: Continuing the Foundation, Strengthening Innovation

Depok, December 12, 2025 — As part of its commitment to ensuring continuity in governance, strengthening academic foundations, and sustaining its role as an influential faculty at both national and global levels, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Universitas Indonesia (UI), held a Leadership Handover Ceremony from the 2021–2025 administration to the newly appointed leadership for the 2025–2029 period. This milestone marked an important chapter in the faculty’s journey, reaffirming FPH UI’s dedication to adaptive, progressive leadership oriented toward the future of public health.

The ceremony, held in person on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Aula G, FPH UI, was attended by the newly elected Dean for the 2025–2029 period, the Dean of the 2021–2025 period, Vice Deans from both administrations, the Faculty Secretary, managers, Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, Sub-Unit Coordinators, faculty members, administrative staff, representatives of ILUNI FPH UI, partners, and invited guests. The presence of these stakeholders reflected a shared commitment to supporting the future direction and development of FPH UI.

Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., Dean for the 2021–2025 period, presented her end-of-term report, summarizing four years of leadership. She explained that her administration focused on strengthening post-pandemic resilience, advancing digital transformation in education, and enhancing the quality of research and international publications. The report highlighted two main areas: achievements in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and strategies to address the evolving challenges of global public health.

Prof. Mondastri emphasized that the faculty’s organizational structure had adapted swiftly in the post-pandemic period through cross-departmental collaboration and the strengthening of both academic and non-academic human resources. She also expressed her appreciation to the Vice Deans of the 2021–2025 period—Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc. (Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs) and Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si. (Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration)—for their pivotal roles in advancing technology-based learning initiatives and impactful research programs.

The newly inaugurated Dean of FPH UI, appointed on December 8, 2025, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., introduced herself as the new leader of the faculty. In her remarks, Prof. Indri underscored the importance of continuity in institutional development. “The achievements of the 2021–2025 administration provide a strong foundation. This serves as both a challenge and a motivation for us, as the next leadership of FPH UI, to sustain, build upon, and strive to surpass these accomplishments. We seek the support and synergy of the entire academic community and the extended family of FPH UI,” she stated.

She then introduced the leadership team for the 2025–2029 period: Prof. Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc., as Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mila Tejamaya, S.K.M., M.Kes., as Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration. Prof. Indri outlined the strategic direction for the coming years, positioning FPH UI as a global reference for public health solutions through the strengthening of multidisciplinary research, improved governance quality, and the preparation of graduates with strong international competitiveness.

In alignment with the Rector of UI’s guidance on the role of deans as Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of their faculties, Prof. Indri emphasized that enhancing governance based on accountability and performance would be a key priority in expanding FPH UI’s tangible contributions to public health development in Indonesia.

The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude to the 2021–2025 Dean and leadership team for their dedication, transparency, and innovations that solidified the foundation of FPH UI, along with hopes that the values of Berjiwa Luhur dan Berkinerja Unggul (Noble in Spirit and Excellent in Performance) will continue to guide every step of FPH UI’s leadership under the new administration for the 2025–2029 period.
