Depok, July 27, 2025 — The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (FPH UI) once again demonstrated its commitment as a pioneer of healthy lifestyles and cross-sector collaboration by organizing a Fun Run to celebrate its 60th Anniversary. Open to the public, the Fun Run took place on Sunday morning on the UI Depok Campus and was attended by 969 participants. The event combined sports, entertainment, and education in a lively and engaging atmosphere.
As part of this year’s overarching anniversary theme, “FPH UI with Noble Character, Excellent Performance,” the Fun Run was more than just a sporting event. It served as a moment to build synergy among the academic community, alumni, partners, and the general public. The event was also attended by Dr. Fadlul Ilmansyah, Chairman of Indonesia’s Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH RI) and an alumnus of FPH UI. Dr. Ilmansyah joined to lend his support and emphasize the importance of healthy living as a long-term investment for the nation.
“This Fun Run by FPH UI is truly festive. I hope it not only promotes an active lifestyle and physical health but also reignites the spirit of collaboration between FPH UI and its partners, both internal and external. May this spirit of togetherness continue and bring lasting benefits to society,” said Dr. Ilmansyah during the event.
The Fun Run featured two categories: a 3K Family Fun Run and a 5K Health Dash. It also included a taichi session—symbolizing balance and a promotive-preventive approach to public health. The inclusion of taichi reflects FPH UI’s holistic method of educating the public on the importance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being.
Beyond running, participants enjoyed live music, a health bazaar, and a variety of exciting door prizes from sponsors and partners. The warm, familial atmosphere and the enthusiastic turnout exemplified the event’s success in bridging generations and backgrounds.
Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., Dean of FPH UI, expressed her gratitude to all supporters, including ILUNI FPH UI (FPH Alumni Association), strategic partners, and the organizing committee. She emphasized that collaboration is key to promoting a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
“This is the first time we’ve organized a Fun Run. The public enthusiasm exceeded our expectations—nearly a thousand participants registered in a short period. This shows the strong collective spirit for healthy living and togetherness. We are deeply thankful to all supporters—sponsors, alumni, partners, and the academic community—who made this event possible with energy and a sense of family. We hope FPH UI will continue making meaningful contributions to public health in Indonesia,” said Prof. Mondastri.
Dr. rer. medic. Putri Bungsu, S.K.M., M.Epid., Chair of the 60th Anniversary Committee of FPH UI, also expressed her pride in the successful organization of the Fun Run.
“We designed the Fun Run as a vibrant and healthy gathering space for all generations. The high enthusiasm of participants shows that healthy living and unity are values that can bring people together. We hope this event becomes a positive tradition of FPH UI that strengthens collaboration with partners and alumni, while enhancing our contributions to public health promotion,” said Dr. Putri.
Heru Komarudin, S.Kep.Ns., M.K.M., Vice Chair of ILUNI FPH UI for the 2025–2028 period and one of the event organizers, also shared his hope that similar events would continue. “We hope this activity can continue and that similar programs will emerge as forms of collaboration that strengthen the bond between alumni and FPH UI,” Heru concluded.
In addition to the Chairman of BPKH RI and ILUNI FPH UI, the Fun Run was also attended by notable guests including Prof. Dr. apt. Arry Yanuar, M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UI; Apt. Teuku Nebrisa Zagladin Jacoeb, S.Farm., M.A.R.S., Director of SamMarie Hospital; R. Iwan Djayalaksana, Head of BNI UI Depok Branch; and Samudera Indonesia’s team, Gagas Pamungkas and Salma Nurlaily.
