On Monday, February 3, 2025, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) held a Kick Off Meeting to mark the beginning of the implementation of a grant from PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk. This grant will be used for the renovation of two smart classrooms and a departmental meeting room within FPH UI, as part of efforts to improve the quality of educational facilities and infrastructure.
The event was attended by the General Manager of FPH UI, Coordinators and Heads of Study Programs at FPH UI, Prof. Ratna Juwita, representatives from PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk management, Cahyohadi Wibisono Pusponegoro – Personal Assistant to the CEO of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk, and Retasya Bonita – CSR Staff of Samudera Indonesia Education Foundation, as well as the renovation project implementation team. In her speech, the General Manager of FPH UI, Dr. Martya Rahmaniati Makful, S.Si., M.Si., expressed deep appreciation for PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk’s contribution in supporting the development of educational facilities at FPH UI.
“FPH UI highly appreciates and is grateful for the grant provided by PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk. It is undeniable that the development of facilities, especially smart classrooms, is an essential need to support educational activities in the digital era,” said Dr. Martya in her speech.
“This collaboration is a concrete manifestation of synergy between the industrial sector and educational institutions. We hope that this renovation will create a more modern, comfortable, and innovative learning environment,” added Dr. Martya.
A representative of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk, Cahyohadi Wibisono, also expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the advancement of education in Indonesia. “As part of corporate social responsibility, we believe that investing in education is a long-term investment for the nation’s future,” said Mr. Cahyohadi.
The renovation of two smart classrooms and one meeting room includes technological upgrades, interior improvements, and the procurement of modern supporting equipment. The project is expected to be completed soon so that it can be utilized by the academic community at FPH UI.
