The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again held an online Socialization of Postgraduate Programs on Saturday, March 15, 2025. The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., along with the Heads and Secretaries of FPH UI’s Postgraduate Programs. It aimed to introduce the master’s and doctoral programs offered at FPH UI. Participants came from various backgrounds, including students planning to continue their studies, healthcare professionals, and academics interested in further exploring the field of public health.
During the event, participants received information about six postgraduate study programs, namely the Master of Public Health, the Master of Epidemiology, the Master of Hospital Administration Studies, the Master of Occupational Health and Safety, the Doctor of Public Health, and the Doctor of Epidemiology.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., emphasized the importance of advanced education in public health to address global health challenges. “As we know, FPH UI, as a higher education institution, has been established since 1965 and remains committed to producing outstanding graduates who are competent and ready to contribute to public health development at both national and global levels,” said Dr. Asih. She also highlighted that the postgraduate programs at FPH UI are designed to align with industry needs and the latest developments in public health sciences, ensuring that graduates possess a strong competitive advantage across various sectors.
Several speakers from different study programs participated in the session, including Dr. Budi Hartono, S.Si., M.K.M., as Head of the Master of Public Health; Dr. dr. Helda, M.Kes., as Head of the Master of Epidemiology; Dr. drg. Masyitoh Basabih, M.A.R.S., as Head of the Master of Hospital Administration Studies; Dr. Dadan Erwandi, S.Psi., M.Si., as Head of the Master of Occupational Health and Safety; Dr. Pujiyanto, S.K.M., M.Kes., as Secretary of the Doctor of Public Health; and Dr. dr. Tri Yunis Miko Wahyono, M.Sc., as Secretary of the Doctor of Epidemiology.
The event was moderated by Dr. Muchtar, MARS., M.K.K., FiSQua., who guided the discussion and answered participants’ questions regarding lectures, graduate prospects, and research opportunities in each study program.
Through this event, FPH UI aims to attract more prospective students with a strong interest in public health, epidemiology, hospital administration, and occupational health and safety.
