Depok, 18 November 2025 — The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again reaffirms its position as a pioneer of integrity within the university through the implementation of its first re-certification for ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS). FPH UI is the first and only faculty at UI to have obtained ISO ABMS certification in 2022, and is now undergoing the re-certification process as a demonstration of its continuous commitment to maintaining clean, professional, and integrity-driven governance.
The re-certification process involved 14 units under the Faculty Administrative Center (PAF) and was audited by Garuda Sertifikasi Indonesia, with the audit team led by Lead Auditor Adhania Nurul Hanifah, supported by auditors Johnny S. Salim and Eko Sutrisno. The opening meeting, held in Meeting Room B206A-B, was facilitated by FPH UI’s Quality Assurance Manager, Prof. Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc., who emphasized that quality implementation is not merely about systems, but also about cultivating work culture that improves over time.
Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., highlighted the importance of this re-certification in ensuring the sustainability of the faculty’s governance quality.
“FPH UI is the first faculty at UI to receive ISO ABMS certification. This is both a source of pride and a moral responsibility that requires us to uphold a clean and gratification-free culture. The Integrity Zone (WBK) title we obtained in 2022—supported by ISO ABMS certification—was not an endpoint, but a commitment to continuous improvement. This certification reflects that we strive not only for academic excellence but also uphold noble and superior values, including clean governance. In this re-certification, we are ready to undergo the entire process with full commitment,” stated Prof. Mondastri.
Lead Auditor Adhania Nurul Hanifah explained that the audit scope covered an evaluation of the effectiveness and relevance of the anti-bribery management system implemented by FPH UI over the past three years. The audit was conducted using sampling across 14 units to assess the sustainability of anti-bribery principles and compliance with ISO 37001:2016 standards. The objective was not only to assess document conformity but also to examine the consistency of the integrity culture built within the institution.
The one-day audit concluded with a closing meeting, during which the Lead Auditor presented several strengths demonstrated by FPH UI. These included strong leadership commitment, the establishment of an anti-bribery culture within administrative units, the availability of an ABMS pocketbook, innovations in administrative applications that enhance transparency, as well as the openness and cooperation of auditees that facilitated a smooth audit process. The audit team also identified several observations requiring follow-up, such as strengthening the identification of organizational context, ensuring risk analysis aligns with inherent risks, and incorporating anti-bribery commitments into all vendor contracts. Based on the audit results, FPH UI has been recommended to receive renewed certification for ISO 37001:2016 ABMS.
In his closing remarks, Prof. Besral emphasized that quality is not built solely through documents, but through habits and organizational character.
“The essence of quality is culture. Continuous quality improvement must remain the lifeblood of every work process,” he stated.
This re-certification serves as concrete evidence of FPH UI’s unwavering commitment to maintaining integrity as part of its institutional identity. These consistent efforts further strengthen FPH UI’s position as a faculty with exemplary governance standards—transparent, accountable, and a model for other faculties at UI in implementing anti-bribery management systems. This step aligns with UI’s aspiration to continuously deliver excellent and impactful education and governance, ensuring that every bureaucratic process reflects the integrity and professionalism embedded within the institution.
