Depok, August 15, 2025 — The Faculty Academic System Orientation (PSAF) for the Undergraduate Regular Program was once again held to welcome new students of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) in 2025. PSAF serves as the first gateway to introduce new students to university life. On Wednesday, August 15, 2025, the opening of PSAF took place in the Auditorium, Building G, FPH UI, where students were warmly welcomed by the Dean and faculty leaders.
“Welcome to FPH UI. This is where we begin our journey in the academic world. Certainly, the path to get here was not easy. We are proud of you for becoming part of the big family of FPH UI. In addition to being learners and future agents of community empowerment, as members of UI’s academic community, it is important to uphold the 9 Core Values of UI as fundamental principles to be realized together. You will be introduced to these values as the foundation of UI’s vision of integrity and noble character. We hope you will study diligently and contribute broadly while bringing honor to our beloved alma mater,” remarked the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.
Farid Akbar, Chair of the Student Representative Assembly (MPM) FPH UI, also expressed his hopes:
“The PSAF activities provide a platform for you as new students to get to know the academic life at FPH UI, from academic aspects to available facilities. Therefore, it is important to follow this orientation program wholeheartedly. Welcome to FPH UI.”
In line with the Dean’s remarks, the Undergraduate Regular PSAF began with an introduction to UI’s core values, delivered by Nurul Dina Rahmawati, M.Sc., CertDA, Secretary of the Department of Nutrition.
The 9 UI Core Values are principles upheld by all members of UI to create a conducive, inclusive, and integrity-driven academic environment, and to produce graduates of noble character and responsibility. These values include Honesty, Fairness, Trustworthiness, Dignity, Responsibility, Solidarity, Openness, Academic Freedom, and Compliance with Regulations.
“Honesty means being upright, sincere, speaking, and acting truthfully, based on noble character. Fairness means providing equal opportunities to everyone without discrimination on any grounds. Trustworthiness means being reliable and keeping one’s commitments. Dignity means treating everyone with respect and humanity. Responsibility is carrying out duties with discipline, timeliness, and accountability. Solidarity means fostering collaboration and tolerance in teamwork,” explained Nurul Dina Rahmawati.
“In addition, there is the value of Openness, which reflects the willingness to accept feedback and criticism objectively, as well as to provide information transparently. Academic Freedom emphasizes the right to express scientific opinions responsibly within the academic environment. Equally important is Compliance with Regulations, which ensures adherence to UI’s rules and the broader community.”
It was emphasized that these values are embedded across all aspects of university life. Therefore, as members of UI’s academic community, it is essential to learn, embrace, and uphold these values, especially for new students beginning their journey at the university and within the beloved faculty.
Welcome, New Undergraduate Students of FPH UI 2025!
