Relationships to support the goals

Relationships with regional NGOs and government for SDG policy

The Faculty of Public Health has direct involvement with the national government related to management of COVID-19 Pandemic in Indonesia. The involvement includes identifying problems and challenges, developing policies and strategies, as well as monitoring and reporting on interventions. In 2021, the Faculty of Public Health engages with the National Research and Innovation Agency related to Acceleration Research on COVID-19 Handling. Moreover, the Faculty of Public Health also engages with the Ministry of Health related to Study Preparation and Policy of Increasing the Role of Private University and Vocational University in adding rare study programs and limiting surfeited study programs.

Cross sectoral dialogue about SDGs

The Faculty of Public Health often initiates and participates in cross-sectional dialogue related to the Sustainable Development Goals, such as organizing conferences that involve the government or NGOs. In 2021, the Faculty of Public Health organized the 11th APRU Population Aging Virtual Conference with the theme “Challenge & Resilience Related to Aging Population: Surviving and Thriving towards Successful Aging” on 7-8 April 2021. With 15 speakers from 7 countries, 81 participants from 11 countries, and 171 attendees from 20 countries, we focus on defining, measuring and improving resilience in older adults in the age of longevity.
