Depok, 15 January 2026 — The Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Universitas Indonesia (UI), held an exploratory meeting to discuss potential collaboration with the Directorate of High-Impact Innovation and Research (DIRBT) / the Special Working Unit of the UI Science Techno Park (UKK STP UI) at the Science Techno Park Building, UI Depok Campus. The meeting marked an initial step toward strengthening research synergy, innovation, and downstreaming with tangible impact on public health.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., accompanied by the Manager of Research and Community Engagement, Rizka Maulida, S.K.M., M.H.Sc., Ph.D., and the Manager of Cooperation and Ventures, Dr. Budi Hartono, S.Si., M.K.M.
Representing DIRBT/UKK STP UI were Chairul Hudaya, Ph.D., Director of High-Impact Innovation and Research; Gogor Ariyo Wisnu Pradono, S.Si., M.B.A. (Head of the Business Incubation and Venture Building Division, UKK STP); Suminto, B.AK., S.Sos., M.Si. (Head of the Operations Division, UKK STP); Apt. Indah Handayani, S.Farm. (Head of the Subdirectorate for Intellectual Property and Promotion); and Wisnu Sardjono Soenarso (Head of the Technology Transfer Division, UKK STP).
The discussion focused on strengthening strategic collaboration between FPH UI and DIRBT/UKK STP UI, particularly in identifying and securing innovation research grants at both internal and external UI levels. In addition, the meeting addressed efforts to enhance the downstreaming and industrialization of FPH UI research outputs, including the development of faculty intellectual property (IP)–based startups as well as proposals from student groups with potential to be developed into products and startup ventures.
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati emphasized that opportunities for collaboration between FPH UI and STP UI are highly open and strategic, especially in ensuring that research generates real impact for society.
“Opportunities for collaboration with STP UI are very broad, ranging from utilizing FPH laboratories as services for industry and other institutions through solution.ui.ac.id, to the downstreaming of research outputs. We hope STP UI can help build a scientific ecosystem so that FPH research does not stop at journal publications, but continues through to downstream implementation,” said Prof. Indri.
Through this exploratory collaboration, FPH UI together with DIRBT/UKK STP UI is committed to strengthening a sustainable research and innovation ecosystem that not only excels academically, but also delivers tangible added value to national development and the improvement of public health outcomes.
